Look what we made in 2020

2020 was full of surprises for the world - and I think it’s fair to say it was a tough time for most of us. But let’s leave those recaps for another time. In the world of making, there was a lot of beautiful things from this year, and a lot to be grateful for. Here’s some of the happiest times.

  1. A big black & white phase - and lots of pretty patterns, from pencil lines to rainbows.

2. Being featured at Manly Art Gallery and Museum.

What a total privilege this is: having a shelf of all my goods in the retail store at MAGM! In December, I was lucky enough to wrap up the year with a display feature in the window and the whole main section of the store. This is some real ‘dreams come true’ stuff and I couldn’t be happier.

3. A lot of time in the studio.

I’ve got all sorts of art and inspiration on the walls: from Lisa Congdon greeting cards, to riso printers in Portugal, to birthday cards, and things that lovely friends (near and far) have made for me. It’s a little bit of a happy mess in here, just the way I like it.

3. A whole lot of experiments that turned into permanent fixtures: weird shapes and unusual patterns.

That’s it for now. The end of the year is almost here, and I’m making as many of these tiny porcelain stars as I can to attach to little presents. Have yourself a happy little handmade Christmas too.
