top five scenes from making & everyday life

  1. the local community garden, where I have joined the roster to look after the chickens and I get to wander around with these gals every friday morning. chooks are such cheeky, silly company, and this garden is lush.

2. these snack dishes. I have shared a few pictures on instagram lately - so nice to see people getting as excited about them as I am. sidenote, it is a total pleasure to photograph pieces with delicious food, and then get to eat the delicious food.

3. learning how to paint a pysanka eggs, a ukrainian tradition, with a wonderful coworker-and friend of mine who does it every year at easter.

4. when the rain finally stopped, the floodwater in the backyard receded. things started to feel normal again when the bush turkeys came back to sit atop the garage (a.k.a pottery studio) roof.

5. chasing the last little bit of light for a twilight swim on a beach in tasmania, on a trip that felt like a surreal step into a parallel universe of travel after so long at home.
